Quadax, an award-winning leader in healthcare revenue cycle technology, is looking for a permanent, full-time Cloud Architect to join a greenfield Enterprise Architecture and Application Development program with proven industry leading design techniques, frameworks, and leadership that helps create the next generation of Quadax products. Cloud Architects provide key leadership, orchestration, analysis and design tasks required for the development of an enterprise's technical cloud-based architecture. They create deliverables that help develop target-state guidance (reusable standards, building-blocks, guidelines, individual parts and configurations) for evolving our services across the enterprise, in order to enable business strategy and deliver targeted business outcomes. They facilitate and orchestrate the delivery of targeted business outcomes through proposed future options. Open to remote employees living in: OH, PA, MI, IN, KY, WV, TN, GA, FL, MO, WI, TX, MO, SD, NC, SC, NE and NC only.

Responsibilities

  • Well versed in the 9 key pillars of DevOps (Agile Software Development, Version Control, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment / Delivery, Infrastructure as a Flexible Resource, Continuous Security, Configuration Management, Continuous Monitoring, and Culture). Guide the selection of appropriate DevOps tools and technologies, and drive the implementation of best practices.
  • Collaborate with other architects to establish various application architecture and development-related standards, and work with management to enforce their governance. Support technology direction, build consensus, and architectural decisions to deliver world class RCO solutions.
  • Develop technical resources, standards and lean process to facilitate solutions and resolution of technical issues in all phases of the SDLC. Review ongoing and proposed projects to identify opportunities for reuse and process improvement.
  • Consult with Development, Infrastructure, Program Management, Big Data and Architecture acting as an advisor to other domain functions. Lead training and knowledge sharing sessions to improve the skills and understanding of the team.
  • Develop and design architectural blueprints and an evolutionary roadmap that defines and communicates the strategic direction for IT architectures in support of business and technical objectives. Research, evaluate, and prototype new methodologies, technologies, and products. Develop proof-of-concepts and present ideas.
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task, and workflow analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with approved IT standards, principles, policies, and guidelines in the design of projects, solutions, applications, and components. Work closely with security teams to ensure solutions comply with security standards and policies.
  • Introduce and accelerate new digital transformation technologies and methodologies to support technology transformation. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
  • Familiarity with event streaming architecture and best practices. Understanding of microservices architecture and the twelve-factor app methodology.
  • Interest in shifting security left into the CI/CD pipeline, with a focus on implementing security tooling. Knowledge of best practices for managing and storing secrets and sensitive information.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of Cloud services and understand how to best leverage them for different use cases. Ability to design and implement robust disaster recovery strategies.
  • Experience with containerization technologies and platforms. Familiarity with GitOps and infrastructure automation.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure that solutions are current and competitive. Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting in a cloud environment.
  • Develop metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of DevOps processes and practices. Familiarity with DORA metrics for DevOps
  • Drive digital innovation by leveraging innovative new technologies and approaches to renovate, extend, and transform the existing core technology base and IT estate.
  • Participate in the full Agile SDLC, including meetings, estimations, planning, and design sessions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of design, implementation and maintenance of complex business applications with low to medium complexity
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field or the equivalent relevant experience with low to medium complexity
  • Assist with the delivery cloud based application architectures and development, integration, distributed data management, and application testing
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with business and IT groups such as project managers, architects, and developers both internal and external
  • Identify linkages between cloud architecture, business requirements and application architecture components with low to medium complexity
  • Innovative thought leader with an understanding of technology trends and solutions and how to leverage these trends and solutions to assist Quadax in delivering revenue cycle optimization (RCO) to providers and/or partners
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and AWS services in a variety of products/services
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Understand basic API design specifications and documentation including API message schemas and process logic models describing Process Flows, Aggregation, Routing, Transformation and Error Handling logic
  • Understand the concepts of re-use around applications & microservices and when to apply with low to medium complexity
  • Understand the definition, documentation and presentation of API Design Standards, Patterns and Best Practices with low to medium complexity

 Preferred:

  • Basic understanding of development languages, SDLC concepts and implementation methodologies, as well as requirements management concepts and elicitation techniques
  • Defines, document and researches requirements on departmental or multiple team projects with low to medium complexity
  • Experience deploying systems into a production Cloud Native Environment with low to medium complexity
  • Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (eg. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.)
  • Experience with tools for Digital Process Automation Technologies (RPA, iBPMSs, BPM and Low-Code) with low to medium complexity
  • Knowledge of ANSI X12 270/271 and 278 transactions sets and HL7 ADT transaction sets
  • Knowledge of JIRA and Bitbucket
  • Prior experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management
  • Support the Application Development team in the development and ongoing maintenance of APIs
  • Support the development of virtualized APIs by creating sample API request/response messages
